Richard D. Smith, CEO and founder of  SMITH-TRG, is a sought after thought-leader, 'trusted business advisor' and speaker in the areas of visioning, innovation, enterprise transformation, future-world markets, and value creation to executives from global brands to new-entrant companies world-wide. Recognized as a leading C-level business performance problem solver and value creator by four of Business Week's, World's 25 Most Innovative Companies, he has served the value creation needs of CEO's and company owners across industries and lines of business. 

Richard leads all 'trusted business advisor' engagement lifecycle activities from client relationship development to enabling the provision of 'results-measurable' deliverables.
 He has published numerous presentation on the nation's economy, future-world, digital-media, and coined the term iPopped, The Paradigm Shift (Apple-Centric Age) Driving Business Model Innovation. He is an author, 2006 book 'AD-MIRED', Media's Power to Create Business Value. From the founding of SMITH-TRG in 1997 to 2003 he served as Chief Executive Officer of Company developed and owned emerging market ventures - Audient Media a video messaging business sold to a Fortune 500 and Saint CRISPIN a wireless audience interactive media, 'advertainment', and advertising company.

In addition to his duties at SMITH-TRG, Richard is Chairman and CEO of the U.S. Road to Recovery LLC a for-profit social good enterprise leading a nation-wide program to 'Build Sustainable Job Growth & Wealth Creation Machines for 21st Century - create jobs. 

Richard  has over twenty-five years of general management and senior business development leadership experience in pre/post IPO and FORTUNE 200 companies (CSC, MCI and IBM).
 He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Strayer College and 
served honorably in the U.S. Army. In 2007, he founded The Patriots Project a pro bono private sector initiative to directly assist 'Wounded-Warriors' recovering at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
