Mr. Richard D. Smith is the founder of SMITH-TRG. As SMITH-TRG's President and Managing Principal he leads all engagement lifecycle activities from client relationship development to project management and the provision of 'results-measurable' deliverables. Mr. Smith has also served as Chief Executive Officer of several Company developed and owned emerging market ventures.
Mr. Smith has over twenty-five years of management experience in pre/post IPO corporations and FORTUNE 200 companies (CSC, MCI and IBM). He turned around three under performing businesses, traveled extensively world-wide, built 'C' level relationships, developed and negotiated multi-year multi-million contracts with global market leaders, established strategic business partnerships, solved operational issues with international partners and investors, and expanded direct sales relationships and associated market footprints. In 2006, Richard authored the book, 'AD-MIRED', Media's Power to Create Business Value. Richard earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Strayer College. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged.
Pro-Bono Leadership In February 2008, Richard spearheaded the U.S. 'Road-to-Recovery' Project a nation-wide jobs creation initiative to Build U.S. Job Growth and Wealth Creation Machines for the 21st Century. Richard also authored SMITH-TRG, U.S. Jobs Creation Plan. In January 2007, Richard founded The Patriots Project a pro-bono business community initiative to directly assist today's recovering soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
